Due to circumstances beyond our control we had to move Transgender Equal Rights Lobby Day to Tuesday, May 3rd, from 1-3p at the Grand Staircase in State House.
Please make appointments with your legislators for that day; it can be anytime during that day. To find out whom your legislators are visit http://www.malegislature.gov/People/FindMyLegislator
We will gather at the Grand Stair Case at 1 pm for a short program where we will hear from legislative supporters, policy makers, and community members. Through out the day supporters will meet with their legislators to talk about the bill and why it so important to pass this Transgender Equal Rights this year!
Also at this location you will check-in and pick up lobby day packets (and “how to lobby” tips as needed) about the bill to bring to your State Reps and Senator’s offices.
Limited number of transportation stipends (for no/low income) and/or ride shares are available, let Rachel know when you RSVP.
Written Testimony Needed for Transgender Equal Rights Bill
MTPC is starting to collect written testimony for the hearing (not scheduled yet), if you could please have you and/or your organization write a letter of support for the hearing and get a copy over to MTPC that would be fantastic. We will also be compiling the testimony
submitted to deliver the day of the hearing.

We’re asking people to submit written, rather than oral, testimony, for the convenience of the Committee. The hearing on “An Act Relative to Transgender Equal Rights” has not yet been scheduled, but the time to submit your letters of support is NOW.
To submit your testimony, mail a copy of your written testimony to each of the committee chairs, as listed at the bottom of this page. Also - VERY IMPORTANT - please send a copy via email to testimony@masstpc.org
